CANCION DEL MARIACHI 2:580:00/2:58
“Beyond its metal-meets-mariachi genius, Tequila Rock Revolution captures the complexity and beauty of the everyday bicultural experience that isn’t relegated to one language or musical genre. Their sound embraces our in-betweeness, a place where cultural lines are blurred.”
“Our mission is to bring generations of listeners together through new renditions of timeless music.”
TEQUILA ROCK REVOLUTION is the brainchild of Grammy-nominated Austin Latino Rocker/Electric Violinist HAYDN VITERA.
The show is a metal-fueled, Mariachi-infused spectacle of sight and sound celebrating the tradition of Mariachi through an unprecedented fusion with modern metal and electronica. TRR's high-energy performance provides a variety of styles that speak to the abuela who grew up with Vicente Fernández, the metalhead who rocks to Metallica and the traditionalist to whom they pay homage in their unplugged “Old School Mariachi” portion of the set.
Based in Austin, Texas, TRR has captivated audiences in theaters, performing arts centers and live music venues around the country and was an official SXSW Artist in 2022.
The band's latest release is an epic modern metal version of the iconic Mexican ballad “El Triste” originally recorded by the legendary “Principe De La Cancion (Prince Of Song)" José José.
